FAQ
Find answers to your questions
How often do I need to have my drain tile inspected?
Homeowners should have their drain tile system inspected once a year.
How long does the video inspection take?
The video inspection only takes an hour to an hour and a half.
How long will it take Westside Drainage to come out and do the video pipe inspection?
We can get out to inspect your drainage system within a couple days.
How common are drain tile issues?
In Vancouver drain tile system issues are very common. Many of the older homes built here are built using older drain tile systems that need to be maintained and serviced. Furthermore, the Vancouver area and particularly the North Shore get heavy rainfall which places a burden on any drain tile system.
How long will it take Westside Drainage to fix the problem?
This depends greatly on the extent of the issues we find. However, most issues can be resolved in 3-15 days.
How often do you maintain the camera you use for Video Pipe Inspections?
Our cameras are maintained regularly and we are very conscious of staying on top of our camera maintenance.
How old are homes that generally have problems?
Most homes that show signs of drain tile system issues including moisture in the basement, basement flooding etc. are 20 years or older. In fact, if you own a home in Vancouver or surrounding areas that is 20 years or older you should have a video pipe inspection even if you're experiencing no signs of damage. If you catch drainage system issues early, it's more likely that you will only need repairs. If left un-inspected the repairs could be be much more extensive.
What areas does Westside Drainage service?
